Intersectionality and Queer Solidarity: Why Our Struggles Cannot Be Fought in Isolation
The Nelson Mandela University Transformation Office invites students and staff to the second instalment of the Beyond the Binary Dialogue Series, a platform dedicated to fostering courageous conversations, inclusion, and social justice within our university community.
This dialogue explores the importance of intersectionality and queer solidarity, recognising that experiences of discrimination, identity, and belonging are interconnected. Through meaningful engagement, participants will reflect on how building inclusive communities requires understanding diverse lived experiences and standing together in the pursuit of equality.
The session will be facilitated by Chulumanco Jantjies, who will lead an engaging discussion on creating spaces where every individual is seen, heard, and valued.
We encourage all students and staff to attend, engage in meaningful dialogue, and contribute towards building a more inclusive Nelson Mandela University.
