Social Justice Mediation and Peacebuilding

The Social Justice Mediation and Peacebuilding portfolio within the Transformation Office is dedicated to fostering a university environment grounded in human dignity, equality, inclusion, and mutual respect. Through education, dialogue, advocacy, and restorative approaches, we work to address systemic inequalities, promote social cohesion, and support the University's transformation agenda.

Our work focuses on creating opportunities for meaningful engagement across diverse communities, facilitating constructive responses to conflict, and empowering students and staff to navigate differences respectfully and collaboratively. Through mediation services, awareness initiatives, capacity-building programmes, and peacebuilding interventions, we strive to cultivate a campus culture where every individual feels valued, heard, and able to contribute to a more just and inclusive society.

By advancing social justice and promoting peaceful conflict resolution, we seek to strengthen relationships, build understanding across differences, and contribute to a transformative university experience for all.
